TWO YEAR PREPROFESSIONAL PREPARATION: The first two years of the Science major (62 credits) can meet the preprofessional needs of those interested in admission to some schools of pharmacy, physical therapy, optometry, nursing, and physician assistant training. Successful students can then transfer after two years of undergraduate study to the professional school to which they are admitted. Note, however, that no Penn State degree can be awarded after only two years (62 credits) of study in the Science major.
Is this facelifted fifth generation model different? Well it depends upon your expectations. You feel that it’s different because in most models, there’s more of a willing engine beneath the bonnet. And the response also seems improved because, via a smarter three spoke wheel, you control a more efficient fully electric steering set up, rather than the old electro hydraulic system.

Combining these studies with previous observations from the Submillimeter Array (SMA) in Hawai the researchers found that any protostar within the extreme UV envelope of a massive star would have much of its disk of material destroyed in very short order. Proplyds in these close in regions retained only a fraction (one half or less) of the mass necessary to create one Jupiter sized planet. Beyond the 0.1 light year radius, in the far UV dominated region, the researchers observed a wide range of disk masses containing anywhere for one to 80 times the mass of Jupiter.
BRAINYAC, now in its second year, is just one of the outreach programs designed to engage the local community and broader public in the Institute’s mission to advance the frontiers of scientific knowledge about neuroscience and the brain. Others include Brain Awareness Week, a global campaign to raise public awareness of brain research; NYC Regional Brain Bee, a competition that tests the neuroscience knowledge of high school students; Columbia University Neuroscience Outreach, a graduate student run organization that sends scientists into New York City classrooms; and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Brain Insight lecture series and teacher scholar program. The lecture series, open to all, serves as the basis for a seminar series for New York high school science teachers to increase their scientific knowledge and bring their training back to the classroom in the form of lesson plans..
