EDIT FILE
Select a file you wish to edit and hit EDIT button. The selected file will be opened in the editor. You must have `write` permission on the selected file in order to modify it. The editor consists of two parts: control panel on the top of the screen and `textarea` field containing the file. Current directory and file name are shown under the text area The elements of the control panel operate as follow: SAVE button is used to save the file when you finished your job. SAVE AS. In order to save the opened document as new file with different name you must type the desired name in the field beside SAVE AS button and hit this button. If a file with the same name already exists in the current directory, error message will inform you about that. To overwrite an existing file you must check `Overwrite` checkbox. You must have `write` permission on current directory in order to create new file. New file will always be created in the current directory CR/LF - LF selector allows you to save the file in either CR/LF (DOS) format or LF (UNIX) format. When the file is being opened its format is detected and the appropriate default selection is done automatically by the program. CHMOD. This indicates and changes the permissions of the file. The initial value is detected and set by the program automatically. This feature in meaningless under Windows operating systems. PREVIEW allows you to load the file for full-screen preview in separate window. You you select HTML checkbox then the file will be treated as a web page, therefore all HTML tags will be parsed appropriately. If this checkbox is not selected the file will be shown as is. If HTML tags exist in the text they will be displayed as well. CLOSE button closes the file return you back to the main screen. This will NOT save the file. Do not forget to click SAVE or SAVE AS button before you close the file. Otherwise all changes will be lost. RESET button resets all changes that were done until the current page was reloaded. RELOAD. You can to reload the file from disk and loose all changes using this button. If changes were not saved before you hit RELOAD button they will be LOST! WRAP TEXT. The file if does not fit the size of the text area can be scrolled up and down, left and right. Alternatively you can choose to wrap the text by checking `ON` the `Wrap text` selector. If Wrap text is set to `ON` then scroll bars will be disabled. Setting WRAP TEXT to `OFF` will unwrap text and enable scroll bars. Wrapping does not affect the file content. When you change this setting from ON to OFF or from OFF to ON the page will be reloaded, thus the RESET button will not reset the changes after that. RESIZE. Width and height of the text area can be changed in order to fit better the screen size. Type the desired values in `Cols` and `Rows` field and hit Resize button.
